My 5 Favourite Korean Daytime Moisturizers/Creams

Hey guys! We’re officially into summer (at risk of sounding old, where has this year gone?!), and I thought I’d share my favourite, light, daytime moisturizers. This is a frequent question that slides into my DMs so I hope this post is useful! For reference, I have normal skin, with more some oilier areas but also more dry patches as I get older. So normal-combination? Lets get right on into it.

* All items in this post were gifted by the companies. Of all the products I own these were chosen because, as stated in the title, they are my favourites amongst MANY and not because they were gifted.

1. Tiam Face Guard Cream

It’s rare for me to finish a cream, but this jar is almost gone! This is one of, if not the, best day time cream I’ve ever used. A little goes quite a long way, and it sinks right into skin. It’s the perfect amount of moisture, contains 75% centella extract for soothing and calming, and works very well under makeup. It’s odd that I also mentioned this in my best winter products because it helped stop my peeling and soothe sore dry skin, but the fact that it absorbs so quickly and leaves no residue puts it in this list too!

2. Eleven Huesday Extra Clear Cream

This cream surprised me with the texture when I started using it months ago…it looks like a white cream, but then kind of breaks up into a clear gel texture, and really feels lovely. My skin looks plumped and fresh after using it, but it absorbs so well and layers excellently. I also think the packaging is fantastic with the small tube dispenser- you can get the perfect amount and it’s hygienic.

3. Iunik Centella Calming Gel Cream

I’ve been using this for about a month now and I keep reaching for it. While the others in this list are creams, the Iunik is a true gel. It has a very delicate, super subtle, herbal scent, and unlike a lot of gel creams it isn’t overly silicone-y (although does still contain silicones, which isn’t a problem for me). It contains 70% centella asiatica leaf water and 10% tea tree leaf water, and I’ve found it a lovely option in the last few weeks as I’ve been breaking out more frequently.

4. Purito Centella Green Level Recovery Cream

This is marginally heavier than the previous three listed, but still lovely and fresh for a daytime moisturizer. I use a tiny amount, it takes a couple of minutes to sink into skin, and then I’m left with a perfect soft, smooth texture. The scent is gorgeous, almost spicey herbal? I thoroughly enjoy using it and frequently grab it. The tube is also perfect and hygienic!

5. Ladykin Affinitic Snail Cream

Ah, this classic. I can’t not mention the giant snail packaging, which I adore and will keep long after the cream is finished. But in terms of product quality, it’s fantastic too. Snail is an ingredient I turn to for soothing, calming, and light moisturizing, which makes this 80% snail mucin cream a go-to. It’s a very runny texture, spreads evenly and easily, and just sinks right in. My skin feels nourished but with no heaviness. Love!

That was a short and sweet list, but if you have any further questions about the products above then leave a comment or shoot me an email! Happy summer!
