Another introductory kinda post…my PM routine. It’s more substantial than my morning routine and I really use it as time to wind down and relax. It’s also where I try and pack in more moisture/ use treatments.
I’ve marked products I will most likely repurchase with a heart.
Those marked with an asterisk were given to me free of charge by companies, but are only in the post because I like them and incorporate them in my night time routine, all opinions are my own. See my disclaimer or email me for any queries on this.
Straight to it…
Eye Makeup Remover
Laneige Lip and Eye Remover Waterproof ♥
I just bought this and I’m really liking it. It doesn’t sting my eyes which is unusual as my eyes are extremely sensitive. It also removes waterproof mascara well, which is such a necessity.
First Cleanser
The Face Shop Real Blend Cleansing Oil
I only have the one oil cleanser right now. I’m always cynical when I start a product, and I was a little negative about this at first, saying it didn’t emulsify as well as my previous rice oil cleanser, also from The Face Shop. However I’ve come to really enjoy this product and don’t think the emulsifying difference is huge. Lavender scent is very calming for me so I love that. It’s an enjoyable part of my routine and even though I probably won’t repurchase straight away, I will keep it in mind for the future.
Second Cleanser
Su:m37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick ♥
I keep re-buying this because it’s convenient and creamy and I love the luxury of it. I’m onto my fourth stick I think and have two lined up because I bought the beautiful holiday edition. It just works for me and is great for travelling.
Cleansing Water
Femmue Flower Infused Cleansing Water*
As in my morning routine, I use this if I want an extra cleanse or freshen up. It smells great, and the pH is okkkkk, if a little high, at 5.78. I like the list of flower extract ingredients. There is evidence to suggest these extracts provide antibacterial, antioxidant, skin conditioning and anti-inflammatory properties.
pH Balancing Toner and Acid
COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid ♥
I’m not good at being consistent with this stage as I’m lazy, but I need to step up my game as I have found that the times I’ve persisted, my skin has felt a lot smoother and pores seem cleaner.
First Essence/Toner
Sulwhasoo First Activating Serum Ex
Su:m37 Secret Repair Toner
I adoreeeee the scent of the First Activating Serum, and it feels good on my skin- a really nice light hydration layer. Some of the concentrated ingredients supposedly help fight aging, provide vitality to skin and balance the skin. I can’t say I truly notice these effects specifically but I do like how my skin feels afterwards- smooth and hydrated. The price tag is probably too much for me to repurchase when this bottle is finished, so I’m enjoying it while it lasts! The Su:m37 toner is also a fantastic light hydration layer, although again for the price I probably wouldn’t purchase a full size on it’s own (this came in a great deal set).
Sheet masks/treatments
At this point, or alternatively before my first essence, I will often enjoy a sheet mask or treatment. I really like the Laneige Waterclay Mask because it isn’t drying, and I feel like my pores definitely look cleaner afterwards. The Sulwhasoo mask is also great, even though I’m not a huge fan of peeling masks. The smell of Sulwhasoo- seriously! This is only a luxury sample size because again, I just can’t justify the full size price.
I’m not too fussy with sheet masks, I just want something to give an added moisture or plumping boost and smell pleasant. I don’t like it when they either drip down my neck, or dry out extremely quickly. I’ve recently really got into hydrogels because of the fit.
Essence
I stick with the snail!! Just like my morning routine, I go with with either:
COSRX 96 Power Mucin Essence ♥
Scinic All in One Ampoule ♥
My skin love love loves snail products for soothing and healing, as I discussed in my journal article ‘The Magic of the Snail‘. Both of these products leave my skin so smooth.
Hydrating Oil
Goodal Waterest Lasting Oil ♥
Even though oils would usually come later in a routine, this particular formula absorbs very quickly and easily and is more of an early hydration layer than an oil as such. It really doesn’t feel oily, which is something I haaaate, but instead leaves an incredibly smooth hydrated feeling to my skin. It’s one I will definitely be repurchasing!
Serums/Ampoules
Because I have normal/combination skin, I do find ampoules and serums quite rich, and so tend to get through them at a slow rate. The three I am currently using I use sparingly and they leave my skin feeling plumped and highly moisturised.
Missha Time Revolution Serum
Nature Republic Honey Ampoule
Su:m37 Secret Repair Concentrate (this is extremely rich so I only use one pump)
Between the three of them, they definitely add to the rejuvenated feeling I look for when I wake up.
Moisturisers
Femmue Global Cera Smart Cream *♥
Femmue Grand Gold Cream *
COSRX Snail 92 All in One Cream ♥
The Femmue Global and the COSRX snail cream are my go-to moisturisers right now. I really like both of them as they are the perfect balance for my normal/combination skin type. They absorb well and are highly moisturising without oiliness or heaviness. The Grand Gold Cream is Femmue’s luxury cream, but I feel like it would be better suited to more mature skin, although it does leave my skin very soft and smooth. The price tag is just too much for me to consider purchasing it.
Heavy creams/sleeping packs
Su:m37 Secret Repair Concentrated Cream
Missha Snail Sleeping Pack ♥
Laneige Water Sleeping Pack
Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack ♥
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ♥ (this is an absolute MUST for anyone with chronically dry lips like me, and I’ve found layering it under my lip products in the morning has also greatly improved the texture of my lips).
I apply these to seal in the goodness from my routine, and to add extra moisture over night. I find that the Pumpkin Sleeping Pack also helps when I am breaking out to calm and heal, as well as the Missha Snail Sleeping Pack for maaaajor soothing effects. For real moisture in winter, I was using the Su:m37 cream (it also smells gorgeous IMO). The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack (dispensed into the smily plastic bottle in the photo below) I think is great but it is more of a summer product for me as its a gel-like light formula.
So that is the run down of my PM routine. Again of course I don’t use all of these every night, but I pick and choose what I feel I need. This is a great stress-buster for me, and I take pleasure in all of the steps. Please tell me your thoughts/ your night time routine in the comments!

I am a mouth breather and am asthmatic so I have been eyeing the Laneige lip masks. Can you tell me more about the scent 🙂
I don’t actually like the scent if you stick your nose in…it’s very sweet and not to my taste. However it is not noticeable to me when it’s applied! I can maybe smell it slightly immediately after its applied then it’s goes to nothing.
Have you ever thought about doing YouTube? I am a sucker for all skincare routine videos and I bet you would make fantastic videos that could reach a wide audience. Korean skincare and makeup reviews are really trending on YouTube right now.
I am actually working on some videos but I really don’t like my voice haha. It’s a working project and hopefully I can work up to posting some, it is in my plan! Thanks for the encouragement 🙂
